뜻밖의 추석선물.

 

코로나 직전 재결합 소식을 알렸던 엘레가든의 신보가 느닷없이 유튜브에 올라왔다. 미친 라이브 일정을 소화하며 어떻게든 모두에게 노래를 들려주고 싶어하던 에너지 넘치던 팀은 어느새 복귀 소식만으로 마린스타디움을 가득 채우다못해 입장못한 사람들이 밖에서 떼창을 하는 일본의 거대한 밴드가 되었다. 철딱서니없이 사랑을 노래하고 찐따같은 과거를 후회하고 언제나 그 속의 괴로움에서 다음을 바라보던 노래는 이제 조금 더 아련하게 과거를 바라보며 함께 길을 걷는 동반자의 길을 택했다. 이제서 자기자신이 마음에 들 리가 없지만 괴로움에 뾰족하게 소리지르던 나는 어느샌가 세월에 닳아 조금은 둥글어졌고, 과거의 나에게 소리지르는 과거의 나를 바라볼 수 있는 나이가 되어버렸다. 늙었다는 느낌이 가득하지만, 아 엘레가든이 늙으면 이런 느낌이구나 싶은 느낌마저 가득하기에 아쉽게만 볼 수도 없는 노래.
